Nawaq Baig: A Journey of Perseverance and Independence

Meet Nawaq Baig, an 18-year-old from Bangalore. At just 4 years old, Nawaq lost his ability to walk. His parents sought treatment at Manipal Hospital, where surgery was performed on both ankles. To support his recovery and mobility, the orthopedician referred them to ABLE.

At ABLE, we fabricated Ankle-Foot Orthoses (AFOs) with anterior support, enabling Nawaq to regain mobility. Since then, he has used AFOs to carry out his daily activities

independently. Today, Nawaq is studying in 12th standard and continues to thrive, proving that challenges can be overcome with the right support and determination.

We are proud to have been part of Nawaq’s journey and remain committed to empowering individuals like him to lead independent, fulfilling lives.
