From Struggle to Walk: Mr. Rakhaib Basha’s Inspirational Journey with a New Prosthetic Leg

Mr. Rakhaib Basha’s Inspirational Journey with a New Prosthetic Leg.

Meet Mr. Rakhaib Basha, a 38-year-old fruit and vegetable seller from Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. A tragic accident while loading his cart led to the loss of his right leg. Unable to walk or work, Mr. Basha faced immense challenges, with his family’s livelihood hanging by a thread.

But even in his darkest hour, light came from an unexpected source—his schoolmates. They rallied together, offering financial support and hope. Determined to help him rebuild his life, his friends reached out to us at ABLE NGO.

We created a custom above-knee prosthetic leg for Mr. Basha, and when he took his first steps, his joy was immeasurable. Today, he’s back on his feet—literally—working hard to support his family and embracing life with renewed confidence.

Mr. Basha’s story reminds us of the power of community and resilience. At ABLE, we’re honoured to have been part of his journey. Together, we can transform lives, one step at a time.
